Dr. Ayush Dogra is a Nehru Science PDF Postdoctoral Researcher at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation located in Chandigarh, India and a Research Scholar at Ronin Institute, PICompS' partnering organization.

Dr. Dogra's research primarily focuses on medical imaging and medical/biomedical signals processing, including image fusion, image enhancement, image registration and image denoising. He aims at generating affordable software for efficient image fusion. He designed a series of optimized medical imaging algorithms for enhanced visualization of various ailments. For example, during his doctoral studies he has worked on osseous and vascular based fusion to enhance the details of vascular structures for detecting stenosis and aneurysm. Currently, he is engaged in Low Dose Cardiac (Flouroscopic and stent) image enhancement and CT-MR based fusion for detection of various abnormalities. Low dose X-ray Cardiac image quality improvement is an on-going project with Allengers Medical Systems, Chandigarh which holds significant importance for healthcare.

He has published numerous papers in highly cited journals and served as an editor and reviewer for various prestigious journals. His research contributions were recognized by multiple awards for his research, including Sushruta Most Popular Research Award (by iERP DELHI, 2018), and Research Award Winner (by Panjab University in 2017 and 2018).
