Ms. Deepali Verma is currently a Ph.D. Scholar in the Department of Biotechnology at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology. She has recently submitted her thesis entitled “Biochemical and structural insights into bacterial CysEs: Rational discovery of novel inhibitors for AMR interventions” for the graduation approval.

She is skilled in:
  • Molecular biology: gene cloning, plasmid isolation, restriction digestion, RNA and DNA isolation, cDNA preparation, gel electrophoresis, PCR/RT-PCR, primer designing, site directed mutagenesis
  • Protein biochemistry: protein purification and estimation, ammonium sulphate fractionation, dialysis, affinity- and ion exchange chromatography, gel filtration chromatography, electrophoresis, Western Blot analysis, enzyme activity
  • Histopathology of animal tissues
  • Computational skills: databases, BLAST, CCP4 for solving crystal structure

  • Ms. Deepali has published a handful of papers, attended and discussed her research at multiple conferences and workshops. In 2018, her research efforts were recognized by 2nd prize for oral presentation in International Conference on Advances in Biosciences and Biotechnology.
