Dr. Eugene O. Voronkov
Research Professor
Department of Modeling and Simulations
Physical location: Ukraine
  • Ph.D., Physics and Mathematical Sciences, Vilnus State University, 1983
  • University diploma, Physics, Dnepropetrovsk State University, 1976
Dr. Voronkov works in the area of quantum mechanics of atoms and molecules since 1975, which makes him one of the most experienced researchers at PICompS. His research is mostly focused on ab initio analytical calculations of the electric, electro-optic, magnetic, and magneto-optic molecular properties.

From 1981 to 2014, Dr. Voronkov worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Physics at Dnepropetrovsk National Technical. In 1985, after he defended his dissertation entitled “Development ab initio methods of molecule properties calculations” and earned the degree of Candidate of Sciences (Soviet Union equivalent of Ph.D.), he was promoted to the docent.
